REGIONAL COOPERATION IN TRIANGLES: PALILULA-SVOGE-KIRISHI

On the occasion of the celebrationthe day of Svoge Municipality, this twin municipalitiy, located within the area of ​​Sofia in Bulgaria, visited the delegation of City Municipality of Palilula. For Milan Djurdjevic, president of the Assembly of Palilula Municipality, Bojan Ilic, head of the Palilula Municipality and Milos Stojkovic, a member of Municipal Council, staged a cordial reception. On this occasion, the mayor of Svoge, Emil Atanasov and his associates introduced the delegation with other twin municipalitiy, the city of Kirishi, Leningrad area, Russia. This is the reason for the leaders of three cities in Bulgaria, Serbia and Russia, get more familiar, strengthen contacts and exchange information on activities and projects of international importance. The Russian delegation, headed by Aleksandar Valentinovic, Head of  District Kirishi, Timofeev Konstantin, head of municipal administration of Kirishi and Victoria Alexandrova, chief of Department of Social Policy of City of Kirishi, invited the management of Palilula Municipality to visit the City of Kirishi, located about 120 km from St. Petersburg in Russia.

At the ceremony held on the square in front of the Cultural Center "Gradiste 1907", to the numerous guests and citizens of the Svoge Municipality addressed and Milan Djurdjevic, who is the host-president of Svoge Municipality Emil Atanasov, handed the Charter of  Palilula in gratitude for long and successful cooperation in the activities that contribute to the development of good neighborly relations and progress in all areas of the local community. Djurdjevic in welcomed speech emphasized: "Dear friends, the citizens of SvogeMunicipality, I congratulate you holiday of City Svoge and I wish that in the name of management of City Municipality of Palilula in Nis, president of Municipality Prof. Dr Igor Novakovic, convey our sincere greetings and expectations that our cooperation continues strengthens and develops. The role of local authorities on cultural and economic development of our communities is important. You identified that and you successfully realizing the concept of a modern development. Our goal is that by cooperation motivate our citizens, business people and start creating private-public arrangements and partnerships. By achievement of cooperation between our municipalities in the region we are creating an attractive environment for new investment and new projects. Serbia is on the road of European integration, Bulgaria is full EU member, our cooperation and support encourage - Djurdjevic said.
